Before comparing compatible spare-parts quotes, confirm that each offer answers the same item reference, document revision, quantity and scope of supply. List any assumptions or exclusions beside the price. Keep the commercial comparison separate from the qualified technical decision about compatibility and use.

Which technical reference should every quotation identify?
Give each supplier the same inquiry pack and ask the response to identify the reference on which it is based. Depending on the information available, that might be a part code, an authorized drawing and revision, a sample reference, or a set of identified photographs plus verified machine context.
If the reference is uncertain, make that uncertainty visible in the request and response. Do not turn a supplier description, a similar-looking product or a shortened code into a confirmed equivalent. For Krones- and SIDEL-related equipment, the brand name provides context; it is not a complete specification for an individual part.
What belongs in a like-for-like quote comparison?
Use the following as a buyer's question list. It does not state SIYUNDI's terms or substitute for the actual written quotation.
| Comparison field | Question to resolve |
|---|---|
| Item reference | Which part code, drawing revision or sample reference does this line answer? |
| Quantity and unit | Is the quoted quantity expressed as individual pieces, sets or another stated unit? |
| Supply scope | What is included, and which associated items or services are excluded? |
| Technical basis | Which requested requirements are addressed, and which still need review? |
| Price basis | What currency and included charges are stated, and what needs separate confirmation? |
| Timing | What event starts the stated lead time, and is the timing still subject to technical clarification? |
| Offer details | Which quotation version, validity and written conditions apply? |
Record the supplier's actual response rather than inserting a default assumption. If a field is unanswered, mark it as unresolved instead of scoring it as confirmed. Any contract or regulatory question should follow your company's appropriate review process.
How should you handle a changed drawing, quantity or sample?
Identify the changed reference in writing and ask whether an updated quotation is needed. Keep the earlier offer in the inquiry history, but distinguish it from the response based on the new information. An earlier price should not be presented internally as if it answered a different quantity, revision or supply scope.
This is especially useful where several departments contribute information. Procurement can track the offer version while engineering identifies the technical information requiring review. Neither role should have to guess which attachment the other party intended.
Which questions should stay separate from the price ranking?
Maintain a separate list for unresolved compatibility, material, dimensional, installation, safety and performance requirements. Do not conclude that two quotations describe interchangeable parts solely because their titles or prices look similar. A commercial comparison records what each supplier has offered; qualified personnel still need to assess the specific application.
Ask which documents or checks are actually available for the item and which were requested. Do not add a certification, test result, inspection method or warranty claim to a comparison sheet unless it is supported by the specific written information. No such terms are promised by this article.
How can you prepare a clearer RFQ for SIYUNDI?
Send the available part code, authorized drawing, photograph or sample reference, requested quantity and verified equipment context through the RFQ page. Select the relevant Krones-compatible or SIDEL-compatible application context, and link to a relevant category such as filling machine parts or bearings and rollers when useful.
For drawing- or sample-related enquiries, the services page provides a starting point. Ask for written clarification of the item and offer scope before your team makes its purchasing decision. Use the existing RFQ preparation guide for the basic information pack.
Frequently asked questions
Is the lowest unit price enough to compare spare-parts offers?
Compare the stated item reference, quantity, unit, supply scope and unresolved requirements as well as price. A price ranking does not establish technical equivalence or suitability.
What if two suppliers quote different drawing revisions?
Record the difference and request clarification or an updated offer based on the intended revision. Do not present the responses as if they answer the same technical reference.
Can a quotation confirm OEM affiliation?
Do not infer affiliation, authorization or OEM origin from a quotation heading or an equipment brand reference. SIYUNDI TECH is an independent compatible/replacement-parts supplier.
Does this checklist establish SIYUNDI's delivery or warranty terms?
No. The checklist suggests questions to ask. Availability, timing, scope and any written commercial conditions need confirmation in the actual item-specific quotation.
Have a part reference to review?
