What Photos Should You Send for a Krones or SIDEL Spare-Parts RFQ?

Prepare useful spare-parts identification photos: show the detached item, readable markings and verified machine context while keeping compatibility questions open.

For a spare-parts RFQ, provide a clear overall photo of the item, another view that shows its shape, readable markings or packaging labels, and the verified machine or station context. Keep each photo linked to one inquiry item. Treat uncertain characters, dimensions and compatibility as open questions rather than filling them in from appearance.

Which identification photos are useful first?

Start with photographs already available in your records or an item that can be photographed safely under your site's procedures. The following is a suggested information checklist for procurement, not a dismantling or inspection procedure.

  • The whole item: include an unobstructed overall view so the reviewer can see what the inquiry concerns. Keep unrelated parts out of that item's photo set.
  • A second useful angle: show an end, side or visible connection feature that the first view does not show. Do not infer hidden construction from the picture.
  • Readable markings: provide a close-up of existing markings, preserving the full visible reference, including any suffix. Also retain the overall view that connects the marking to the item.
  • The packaging label: photograph an existing label separately, and state that its reference came from packaging rather than directly from the component.
  • Supporting records: attach an available drawing or document reference separately. Identify its source and revision when known.

Where a document contains confidential information, share only the material you are authorized to provide. Never enter a guarded area, open an electrical enclosure, remove a component or interrupt production just to obtain an RFQ photograph.

What should you do when the part number is missing or unclear?

State exactly what is available. If a code is partly legible, send the original image and mark the uncertain portion in your written inquiry. Keep your internal stock code separate from the reference visible on the part or label. Do not silently replace unclear characters with a result found online.

A useful inquiry can still begin with an available photo, drawing or sample reference. That starts a review; it is not a commitment that the item can be identified or supplied. SIYUNDI's Krones-compatible parts and SIDEL-compatible parts pages describe information-led inquiry routes for the respective equipment contexts.

How should you connect the photos to machine context?

Give each inquiry line an internal reference and use that same reference in the photo filenames or attachment list. Add the equipment area, machine reference or station information that your team can verify from existing records. Keep storage-bin location in a separate field from the location where the part is used.

For an inquiry covering several items, a simple attachment list is enough: inquiry line, photo filenames, available document reference, requested quantity and unresolved questions. This is an administrative suggestion, not a manufacturer coding system. It lets the buyer, engineer and supplier discuss the same item without treating the filename as technical evidence.

What can a photo leave unresolved?

Do not use appearance alone to specify material grade, tolerances, pressure capability, service life, hygiene suitability or interchangeability. Ask which requirements need a controlled drawing, technical specification, sample assessment or other application-specific evidence. A photograph supports identification; it does not replace the official documentation or a qualified technical assessment.

Manufacturer documentation remains relevant to identification. Krones' description of its eCat integration refers to machine documentation, while Sidel Services Online provides access to equipment information. These manufacturer resources concern their own services and are not evidence of SIYUNDI authorization.

How should you send the photo pack for review?

Use the RFQ page to provide the available part reference, photo or drawing, quantity and verified machine context. Link the inquiry to the relevant application area, such as blow molding parts or conveyor parts. For drawing- or sample-based enquiries, consult the services page and explain which information is confirmed and which needs review.

Ask for clarification before treating any visually similar item as an equivalent replacement. Keep the resulting correspondence with the inquiry record so the technical basis is visible to the person who reviews the purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Can you request a quote without a readable part number?

You can submit available photos, a drawing or a sample reference with verified machine context for review. Missing information may need clarification; identification, supply and compatibility are not assumed.

Does a packaging label prove which part is inside?

Record the label as a packaging reference and keep it linked to a photo of the item. Any discrepancy should remain an open question until the available records are reviewed.

Should you measure a part from a photograph?

Do not treat a photograph as a verified dimensional specification. Provide available controlled dimensional information or ask what additional evidence is needed for technical review.

Can photos confirm that a replacement is suitable for installation?

No. Photos support identification. Suitability, compatibility, installation and safety require qualified assessment using the applicable official manufacturer documentation and site procedures.

Have a part reference to review?

Share the available part code, photo, drawing or sample information, quantity and verified machine context.
