When a drawing changes during a spare-parts RFQ, identify the new document and revision, list the inquiry lines affected, and ask the supplier to acknowledge the updated information. Keep the earlier package as history, but state which files the current request uses. Do not assume that sending another attachment automatically updates a quotation or authorizes production.

What should the revision handover identify?
Use a short transmittal note linked to the inquiry reference. Record the document identifier, revision shown on the document, attachment filename, issue date where available, and the affected item or inquiry line. Identify the person responsible for clarifying the change through your site's authorized process.
If the drawing does not carry a revision, state that limitation and ask the authorized document owner how it should be identified. A recently renamed file is not, by itself, evidence that its technical content has been reviewed. Do not invent a revision code or describe a draft as a released requirement.
Which files belong in the updated inquiry package?
List the attachments being supplied now and describe each one's status: current inquiry input, historical reference, explanatory annotation or unresolved information. Where a CAD model and a PDF drawing are both supplied, ask the responsible technical owner to resolve inconsistencies rather than assuming one takes precedence.
Keep an unaltered copy of the source document. Put buyer questions in a separately identified note so that a clarification request cannot be mistaken for a manufacturer's specification. Share only documents the site is authorized to disclose, using the recipient and channel agreed for the inquiry.
How should you describe what changed?
Point to the affected sheet, item or drawing area using the available document references. Explain what needs a response without independently interpreting tolerances, material requirements or safety implications. If the change has not been technically assessed, say that explicitly.
For Krones- or SIDEL-related packaging equipment, retain the verified machine and application context used for the inquiry. Ask whether that context is still correct for the revised request. Do not infer that a document update proves a part is interchangeable with an earlier version or with a part used on another machine.
What should you ask the supplier to confirm?
Request acknowledgment of the exact attachment list and the revision used for its response. Ask whether the existing offer still describes the updated request, which items need clarification, and whether a revised quotation is required. Keep the supplier's response connected to the relevant inquiry lines.
Treat price, supply scope, documentation and timing as points requiring written item-specific confirmation. This guide establishes no availability or delivery commitment. A supplier acknowledging a file is different from the site's technical reviewers authorizing use of a part.
What if the quotation or order already exists?
Reference the existing quotation or purchase record in the change request, and ask the responsible purchasing and technical teams how the change should be handled. Preserve the record of what was originally requested and what has subsequently been communicated.
Do not assume that a revised attachment changes an existing commercial agreement, stops work or approves a design change. Obtain the appropriate written response through the site's normal process before treating the matter as settled. This article is an information-handover checklist, not contractual or engineering advice.
Where should you send the revised RFQ information?
The SIYUNDI RFQ page accepts inquiries with available part references, drawings, sample photos, machine details and quantity. Identify the request as an update and refer to the earlier inquiry. The services page is a starting point for drawing-related enquiries; specific scope still needs review.
Use the Krones-compatible or SIDEL-compatible category and relevant applications such as filling machine parts for navigation, not proof of fitment. If the references themselves disagree, see the part-number discrepancy guide. For commercial comparisons, see the quote review guide.
What else should buyers ask?
Does sending a revised drawing automatically update the quotation?
Do not assume so. Ask the supplier to identify the document revision used and state whether a revised response is needed.
Can a filename prove that a drawing is technically released?
No. Record the document's stated revision and status, and ask the authorized document owner to clarify anything missing.
Should the CAD model always take precedence over the PDF?
This checklist sets no precedence rule. Refer any inconsistency to the authorized technical owner and document the clarification.
Does revision acknowledgment establish compatibility?
No. Compatibility, installation, safety and use require qualified assessment using applicable official manufacturer documentation and site procedures.
Send the available evidence and unresolved questions through the RFQ form.
